Vendor approval
What opens when a person has read your W-9 and business license
Every open RFP on VendoRFP is listed for every vendor. This page says exactly what a vendor sees before a person here has read its two documents, what opens after, and what that review does not cover.
Before and after
After the review
Before the review
A vendor browses every open RFP and every customer with the names, logos and exact figures held back on the server. The city, the state, the trade, the season and the size band are shown; nothing that identifies one community is sent.
After the review
A person at VendoRFP reads your W-9 and business license; after that you see every customer's name, can apply, and can use the RFP and proposal tools — and each RFP still takes a proposal only from a company whose insurance meets what that community set.
Who lifts it
The person who verifies the second of the two documents is the whole gate. Nobody presses approve; the rule reads the two rows. Rejecting either document closes the names again the same moment.
Insurance
What the review does not cover
Approval on VendoRFP says nothing about insurance. A proposal on an RFP needs the vendor's stated cover to meet the bar that community set, and a person here to have read the certificate. VendoRFP does not certify that a policy is in force; the community confirms that with the carrier before it contracts.
How this is checked
A script makes a vendor with no documents and reads the marketplace as it: no firm name, no community name, and an RFP that refuses to open. It uploads both documents, is still refused, has an admin verify them, and reads the names. It runs against the live database, and the sentences on this page are pinned to it by a test that fails the build if either changes on its own.
